KILGOUR 2019 Rosé
Hand harvested February 2019, Abel clone Pinot Noir fruit was immediately gently whole bunch pressed to give minimal colour and tannin extraction. Wild fermentation occurred ion older French barrels. The wine was then rested on lees to relax and unwind for 5 months prior to assemblage and bottling in August.
This Rosé displays a deep colour of salmon. Vibrant Strawberries and Cream along with Turkish Delight are evident on the nose. Offering a generous mouth filling palate, showing rich strawberries and cream that flows on and on. Rose petal, Turkish delight and nectarine linger to the end of the palate. The high pH gives the wine a lovely mouth-coating texture and warmth, with orange peel acidity giving the wine a lovely structure.
Enjoy now and over the next 18 months. Try with zucchini flower croquets, salmon pate or cool sea spray.
